I think it’s him. If by some chance it isn’t, it’s a prank to make it seem like him. (I’m alluding to the many clues, details, things he’s said at other times, etc.) But that would be too elaborate a prank; it’s been going on for ages. I remember reading that tweet about online poker back when it first went up and thinking, well then.
The fact is, Lu is a dork. If you didn’t know this before, (and wasn’t it obvious?) you know it now. He’s a big silly dork. He likes silly television shows and football and talking about poo.
Don’t get me wrong, it’s definitely a twitter directed at his bros. (I doubt he’d be tweeting his mother that he just shit his pants, for example.) But it’s also a reflection of who he is when he isn’t having to maintain a careful, NHL-friendly, politically correct image. Look how stifled Kesler and Bieksa are with their “public” twitters. I guarantee they don’t sound like that in the locker room. One day we’ll hopefully get a Canucks 24/7 on HBO and get to hear the guys swearing their heads off and talking about shit non-stop. Well, with hopefully a little bit of stop. But you know what I mean, right? It’s real. It’s reality.
When I first put two and two together and began to believe it was actually Lu who was tweeting so constantly about Jersey Shore/the Bachelor/poop, I’ll admit that I felt slightly disillusioned. Shouldn’t he be tweeting deep, romantic thoughts about the perils of great ambition? But no, wait, that would mean he never gets to have any fun. Ever. I can’t hold him up to some bizarre standard I’d never bother to meet myself.
So I welcome the poop jokes. And hey, I watch the Jersey Shore myself. I mean, I don’t brag about it, but maybe that’s because I’m too uptight. Maybe I should use more exclamation points, too. Once in a while, I mean!!!!!!!!!!!!!
